These are two separate injuries, usually from a repetitive motion–obviously golf and tennis being two of them–but these injuries have become more common with the increasing amount of time we spend on computers.
FROZEN SHOULDER
Frozen shoulder is an inflammation in the shoulder joint and surrounding musculature. The shoulder is a ball and socket joint with ligaments that hold the bones of the shoulder together.
TENSION AND MIGRAINE HEADACHES
Tension headaches result from a kinetic chain of events involving muscle spasms in the shoulders, neck, throat, and head muscles. Deep Tissue along with trigger point work can often resolve these issues.
Massage Modalities

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is the most often misunderstood aspect of massage therapy. Deep tissue isn’t only the amount of pressure the therapist uses during the session. It’s a little of that of course, but it refers to the advanced training a top-notch therapist has in reaching through the superficial muscles and treating the muscles lying underneath.

Trigger Point Massage
A trigger point is a spasm within a muscle that can cause pain elsewhere in the body. For example, a point in the back may trigger referred pain in the neck. The neck may then cause pain in the head. The pain can range from a dull throb to sharp intense bursts of pain radiating through the spine.

Sports Massage
Sports massage is for athletes of all types, from world class professionals to casual participants. Sports massage techniques are geared to the individual’s sport, focusing on areas that are used and repeatedly stressed from repetitious and sometimes aggressive movements.
